The Kirkburton History Group meets every Friday between 10am and noon. Group members come from a wide variety of backgrounds and abilities but all have a keen interest in finding out more about the local area. If you too are interested in local history please come along and join our Group, you will be made very welcome.

Formal meetings are held on the first Friday of every month to discuss any important business and allocate tasks to members.

The Annual General Meeting is held on the first Friday each June – officers are elected at this meeting and positions are open to all members.

Each member pays a small subscription each month, and membership is open to all. To become a member of the group, please attend one of our meetings.

The Group is keen to receive any historical information about Kirkburton and its inhabitants, either documentation, photographs, artefacts or any memories of the village.
